Liverpool have made a sizeable offer for Paris Saint Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The French midfielder is currently considering options as contract talks with French giants PSG have come to a standstill. His contract runs out at the end of the current season and would be able to sign a pre-contract from January.
Rabiot allegedly demanded a contract worth €10 million a year back in September which the Parisians are reluctant to offer. The Spanish publication also report the midfielder is considering a switch to Anfield amid contract talks with current club PSG.
The 23 year old has reportedly held talks with Catalan giants Barcalona about a possible transfer to the Nou Camp. Manchester City are also interested in the Frenchman who had a brief spell with their academy as a teenager.
Rabiot could possibly be a replacement for current vice-captain James Milner who has been linked with a return to boyhood club Leeds United.
If Milner is to leave, Rabiot could fill the void left by James Milner as the engine of the midfield, and could be a big help in improving a Liverpool midfield that has shown signs of frailty in recent weeks.
