In episode 18 of The Kopite podcast co-hosts Matt Ramirez and Mick Moran dissect the disappointing defeat at the Nou Camp.

The duo started with the analysis of Joe Gomez’s and Gini Wijnaldum’s roles in the XI and the surprise surrounding the Englishman’s inclusion and the Dutchman’s false-nine positioning.

Matt and Mick picked apart the goal and discussed how they saw the second leg going at Anfield on Tuesday night, with slightly differing degrees of optimism.

The guys then talked about the upcoming Newcastle game before briefly touching upon the Huddersfield 5-0 hammering (to leave the podcast on a high) and the much anticipated return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The guys also answered your questions and involved them in the chat heavily:
