Played 24. Won 23. Drawn 1. Lost 0. It’s a ridiculously good Liverpool team that we are watching. The only remotely disappointing thing about it is that we may never see anything like it ever again. But that’s not something to worry about right now.
Heading to the London Stadium — an away trip that Liverpool sides of old would have struggled with — Jürgen Klopp’s side were not at their sumptuous best.
All the same, there was only one result that ever looked to be on the cards.
West Ham were camped inside their own half for large portions of the first half, and when Divock Origi was felled after some great work from Roberto Firmino, referee Jon Moss pointed to the spot, for Mohamed Salah to convert.
The hosts were livelier in the second half and Alisson Becker was forced into a couple of key stops.

However with the Hammers’ pressure came counter-attack opportunities, and from a defensive corner, Salah brilliantly found Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain breaking away, who sealed the points.
A good, if unspectacular win, but three points with no Sadio Mané cannot be sniffed at.
Ali 8 — Quiet first half, but busier second was characterised by a sensational stop from a Declan Rice header.
Trent 7 — Very fortunate to get away with a miscued clearance that cannoned off his own post. Otherwise, good performance, if not the attacking threat he sometimes can be.
JoGo 8 — Putting in some top class displays at the moment. Today’s was characterised by a huge recovery tackle in the first half.
Big Virg 8 — Won every defensive header, as per usual. Didn’t put a foot wrong, as per usual. If Virgil’s standards had possibly dropped by the smallest of margins at the start of the season, he’s returned to the unbelievable level that he set last year.
Robbo 6.5 — Mixed bag. One sensational cross could have been turned home by Origi, but some mistakes when on the ball, as well.
Ox 8.5 — Constant threat from midfield, and showed brilliant strength to slot the second. Man of the match.
Hendo 8 — Controlled the midfield. Phenomenal run of form continues.
Gini 7.5 — Miscontrolled when nearly one-on-one, and one poor pass could have been capitalised upon by the home side. Two mistakes should not overshadow another hugely important showing.
Mo 8.5 — Took the penalty well, could have scored another with a header flashing wide and a first-time effort striking the post. However, it was the Egyptian’s work for the Oxlade-Chamberlain goal which deserves the most plaudits. Brilliant composure and a perfectly-weighted ball with the outside of his foot.
Bobby 7.5 — Sensational first half, playing the key role in winning Salah’s penalty. Tired as the game wore on, though.
Divvy 7 — Couple of left-footed strikes tested Fabiański.
Fabs 6 — Better display than on Sunday, but there were another few uncharacteristic instances of lost possession.
Naby 6.5 — Stung Fabiański’s palms from the edge of the area.
CJ N/A — Might start to get some more league minutes towards the end of the season.
