Liverpool travelled along the M62 to take on Manchester United, with both sides determined to get one over the other and progress to the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.

The two sides met only a week ago as they played out a dour 0-0 draw at Anfield – we all hoped this one would be much more exciting, and it certainly was.

United were in the better form heading into the game, with Liverpool struggling to find the back of the net in the games leading up to this one.

The Merseysiders have only made it past this point of the competition once before under Jürgen Klopp as the German has seemingly judged it to not be as important as other goals.

Once again it proved that Liverpool would not go far, as they fell to defeat at Old Trafford.

Looking on the bright side, though, it was a much better Reds performance than in recent weeks, and the two goals will do Mohamed Salah and his teammates a world of good after a recent barren run.
