Three losses in a row at Anfield. Thankfully for Liverpool, this one is an away game. Like that made a difference in the end…

But that didn’t mean it would be easy. Leicester are in great form and are looking good for a Champions League spot. The Foxes fell short last time after ending the season poorly, but they have recruited and bounced back well.

Beating Brendan Rodgers’ side would have provided this Liverpool team with a much-needed confidence boost after a dreadful few weeks.

Fabinho was absent through injury, but news of yet more issues in that department isn’t a surprise anymore – it’s simply continuing a trend this season. Thiago was also short of full fitness, and started on the bench – but came on after just 17 minutes with James Milner injured.

It was an opportunity though for loanee Ozan Kabak, who made his first appearance in a Liverpool shirt after being selected to start at Leicester. It wasn’t the afternoon he wanted though, as he was involved in two of the three late Foxes strikes.
